Our transformers have been listed with top companies since more than 90 years,  our clientele includes EDF, Iberdrola (Avangrid), SNCF, ENEDIS, SCHNEIDER Electric, LAFARGE, VATTENFAL, VINCI, UKPN, E-ON, RWE, and many more.

Kolektor ETRA, based in Ljubljana, boasts over 500 employees and has been manufacturing transformers for more than 85 years. Originally utilizing French technology from Alsthom Savoisienne, ETRA 33 became a subsidiary of the international Kolektor Group in 2010, a world leader in automotive switches, to support the ramp-up of the 400 kV production line.

This integration enables us to produce, transport, and install high-quality, reliable transformers up to 500 MVA and 400 kV, equipped with cutting-edge technology for advanced applications.

Our expertise includes:

• In-house designed and assembled magnetic cores and laminations, along with high and low voltage column-type windings.
• An ultra-efficient kerosene vapor drying system.
• Controlled atmosphere factory for optimal humidity regulation.
• A state-of-the-art high voltage laboratory within a Faraday cage for precise testing measurements.

ETRA has invested in ultra-modern facilities with cutting-edge technology and a comprehensive ISO 9001, 14001, 18001 quality system. Our highly experienced and trained team can perform all routine and special tests required by international standards. Kolektor ETRA’s oil-filled transformers are manufactured according to industry standards such as IEC, EN, and ANSI. Having already been certified for 63 kV and 90 kV, Kolektor ETRA received 225 kV certification from EDF in 2018.
