Who are we?

NORTHBRIT is an engineering company based in Connecticut and part of the S.P.I. Company. We specialize in high-voltage electrical transformers and equipment for power substations. Our portfolio includes power transformers, oil containment solutions, fire extinguishing covers and gratings for oil containment pits. Additionally, we offer the highly efficient anti-corrosion system GALVAGRID for galvanized structures in electrical substations.

We represent several world-class manufacturers of electrical substation and high-voltage materials. Among them, we are the U.S. representative for the Slovenian power transformer manufacturer KOLEKTOR ETRA, offering transformers with capacities ranging from 10 to 400 MVA and voltage ratings up to 420 kV.

IN SUBSTATION

NORTHBRIT is the US representative for GALVAGRID rust anode. This innovative solution offers:
Coating: Enhancing hot-dip galvanized structures with extra protection, achieving up to C5H anti-corrosion class, even in salty environments.
Re-galvanizing: Re-galvanizing metal structures at ambient temperature, even with initial rust, providing strong anodic protection.

GALVAGRID effectively enhances the durability of new constructions and restores older ones.
